Tom Tait - President Tait and Associates
Thomas F. Tait, MBA, JD President of Tait & Associates took the reigns of “Tait” in 1990 and “fine-tuned” Dr. Kenneth E. Tait’s initial business philosophy for “getting things done.” This included adopting a flat organization structure, which allowed for rapid decision making and open relationships among its divisions. The new business structure also allowed for fast problem solving, using networking resources to quickly pursue opportunities. Tait & Associates is a civil engineering and environmental consulting firm with offices throughout the western United States
These qualities were enhanced and fined tuned at the University of Wyoming where he received his Bachelor of Science degree. He received his Masters of Business Administration and his Doctor of Jurisprudence degrees at Vanderbilt University.
He is a member of the California State Bar.
Like the company’s original vision to be the “best of the best”, which became the cornerstone for all of its business practices, Tom has lead the way and reaffirmed Tait’s long history of high ethics, integrity and quality.
In an effort to give back to the community and at the direction of Tom, the company has provided civil engineering design, surveying, and permitting services for the Growth Opportunities through Athletics, Learning & Service (GOALS) “Dreamscape” project in Anaheim.
Tait works hard to create a diverse business environment, identify and encourage participation, and create strategic partnerships. Supporting diverse suppliers not only adds value to their clients, but also strengthens local economies and promotes economic growth. It’s one reason why Tait actively seeks and promote opportunities with qualified and certified Minority-owned, Women-owned, Veteran, Service-Disabled Veterans, and HUBZone Enterprises. These groups provide a wealth of opportunities in contracting and sub-contracting services, because there’s no end to opportunity when you start with diversity.
Tom Tait served on the Anaheim City Council from 1995 to 2004.
Prior to his service on the Council, Tom was an Anaheim Planning Commissioner and a Budget Advisory Commissioner. Tom also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.
Tom and his wife, Julie, have four children.
